Catania Cruise Port welcomes AIDAblu, ship belonging to the German Cruise Line AIDA.
Already visible from far away with its striking colours, the ship arrived at the terminal this early morning with about 2.100 cruise passengers onboard, mostly German guests, who enjoyed the beauties of the city of Catania, set between the sea and the tallest active volcano in Europe.
Thanks to the beautiful sunny day, cruise passengers ventured into excursions by bus, on foot and by bike, finding themselves immersed in Sicilian culture, food and wine, precious handicrafts and folklore.
Leader in the German cruise market, AIDA Cruises offers cruises around the world and currently AIDAblu calls Catania about 10 times.
Catania Cruise Port expects more than 80 calls in 2023 season, which will bring about 140.000 cruise passengers to the city of Catania. Costa Cruises, with its 30 calls, once again will be the main cruise company for the season of the Sicilian port.
